The Compliment

The date has started. Let the games begin. Use your advantages, especially your linguistic abilities with well-placed compliments. Ladies (and gentlemen) never tire of compliments. Use them to warm her up. See her eyes light up as she smiles. Spread them thick like peanut butter on jelly.

Ikaw ang pinakamagandang babae ( dito / dito* / sa bara na ito / restaurant na ito).
*the Tagalog word for “room” is literally kwarto which refers more to a more enclosed space, so dito would be more appropriate

Ang ganda ng ( mata / mukha / buhok / katawan /balat ) mo.

You are very entertaining.
Nakakatuwa ka.

It’s nice to talk with you.

Ordering Food and Drinks

Wine and dine her. Show your class. Ordering food and drinks with a couple of well-polished Tagalog phrases will make you a star in her eyes. Watch the waiter’s jaw drop as you skillfully navigate your exchanges with him in Tagalog. Just wait for the reactions once you correctly use the Tagalog word for dessert.

Essential Questions

Dating is a ritual, a dance, an essential part of courtship. Don’t skip out the important stuff. These essential questions will help you get to know your date better.

Leading to Another Activity

Use your Tagalog language jiujitsu to lead your date from one activity to another. These sentences will come in handy if you want to keep things fresh, or perhaps take your date to the next level. Show off your dancing moves, sidle up to the bar for a few drinks or talk a romantic walk outside.

It’s been a lovely evening. Everything went to plan, and even better. She is gazing at you with her love-struck eyes. End the evening on a high note. Use some parting words in Tagalog to keep the parting memory sweet. These parting sentences could be a handy escape as well if things don’t turn out the way you want them.
